DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

This is the first level of post‐secondary education that begins after 12 years of primary and secondary schooling. It includes at least 4 years of education and earns a bachelor's degree. Three are also two-year programs which earn an Associate degree. A student who has an associate degree can study further for a minimum of 2 years at another university or the same to acquire a Bachelor's degree.
  • REQUIRMENTS: All India Senior Secondary (CBSE), Indian School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate.
  • TESTS: SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and TOEFL (for English Proficiency)

GRADUATE PROGRAMS (Master's & Doctorate Degree):

This is the same as post-graduate education in India. The duration is 18-24 months of education. The period varies according to university policies. Typical degrees offered are MBA, MS or PhD. Admission to a graduate program usually requires a minimum of 16 years of formal education. That is, 12 years of primary and secondary schooling and further 4 years of college education.
  • REQUIREMENS: 12 years of school + 4 years at college i.e. 12 + 4 or 12 + 3 + 1 Some universities accept Graduate applicants having 12 + 3 years of education
  • TESTS: GRE (for Sciences, Engineering etc.) or GMAT (for Management only); TOEFL (for English Proficiency)

MAIN SEMESTER INTAKES

  • FALL (August-September) ‐ Most intakes are during this period. Maximum financial aid and assistantship are distributed in this semester.
  • SPRING (Start in January/February ) ‐ Few Universities accept international students in the Spring term but the number of intakes is less as compared to Fall term. The chance of aid is less.

DEADLINES TO APPLY FOR FALL SEMESTER

  • First Deadlines ‐ 15th November to 31st December ( varies from university to university)
  • Final Deadlines ‐ 15th February to 15th March
  • Student who apply by 1st deadline, complete with all supporting documents and test scores have a much better chance of getting admission and scholarships.
