UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS (Bachelor degree)

Application for Bachelors degree courses to most universities in the UK are made through the Universities College Admission Services (UCAS) on a centralized common application form i.e. only one on-line form has to be filled for undergraduate admission. The system allows you to initially apply to only 5 universities/colleges. Almost all intakes for undergraduate programs for international students are for the Fall term (September/October).

UCAS Deadlines

  • 15 October( of previous year) for medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses and all courses at The Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
  • 15 January for all other courses except certain art design courses that have a 24 March deadline.
  • 30 June is the final deadline for international students and this all application go into clearing.
The important documents required in the UCAS application for undergraduate programs are
  • Class 10 & 11 marks
  • IELTS test score
  • Description of your extracurricular activities and other achievements.
  • Your Statement of Purpose.( SOP)
  • Recommendation from school principal/senior teacher.

POSTGRADUATE APPLICATIONS TO UK

There is no single centralized system for postgraduate application and students have to make applications directly to each University.

There are 2 intakes for Postgraduate courses
  • Fall (September/October) ‐ Students are advised to apply by March end to have a good chance for admission.
  • Spring (February) ‐ Student should apply by October to have a better chance.
The important documents required in the post graduate applications are
  • High School final marks (CBSE 12th) duly attested by school
  • College marks sheets (all years) all duly attested by college
  • IELTS test score
  • Details of work experience if any
  • Your statement of purpose
  • 2 to 3 recommendations
  • Some universities ask for GMAT scores if you apply for an MBA course
